Background: I have always had this habit of collecting China patterns, old dishes, and found objects.
I find it oddly tragic for something so old to be discarded and no longer cared for. Once celebrated, shared, and considered special, now may have no other purpose other than to fill a donation box or worse yet, make it to the curb.
Something- like a dish- old in years, can be rebirthed when repurposed and then re-discovered by someone new! New life is breathed into it and it has a chance to carry on!
Not only does this object remain beautiful and functional, it provides some humor, a smile, and warms the heart.
